Freshfields raises over £30,000 towards its £100,000 target in one night
In March, The Childhood Trust team had the pleasure of attending Freshfields’ inaugural black-tie fundraising dinner.
The event, which is part of our ongoing partnership, saw Freshfields’ Auditorium transformed into a dining space for colleagues and clients to take part in live and silent auctions, in which over £30,000 was raised for our Champions for Children campaign.
Champions for Children is one of two core grant-making programmes run by The Childhood Trust with funds supporting children and young people experiencing poverty across London.

Grants support frontline charitable organisations that are deeply rooted in their communities, trusted by those they support, and able to demonstrate meaningful impact.
We’re proud and grateful to be named Freshfields’ London Charity of the Year, a partnership that will see new opportunities and brighter futures for children and young people. A sincere thank you to the team at Freshfields for their steadfast commitment to championing our mission and helping to alleviate the effects of child poverty.
Christina Whitham, UK Community Impact Manager at Freshfields, said: “Freshfields is proud to support The Childhood Trust in a partnership that will create positive, long-term change in our local communities. The money raised in our first ever fundraising dinner will have an incredible impact on the Champions for Children campaign, which will deliver vital services and support to children living in poverty across London.”
