Campaign Details

Applications for Champions for Children 2025 are now closed. Since its inception in 2020, Champions for Children has raised more than £18m for hundreds of projects supporting children experiencing poverty across all 32 London boroughs.

This year, the campaign will run for 2 weeks from Tuesday, 3rd June 2024 to Tuesday, 17th June 2025. Our goal is to match the success of last year’s campaign, where a whopping £5m was raised by 84 charities to raise more than 185,000 children experiencing poverty in London.

Key Dates

  • 3 January 2025: Applications open on the Big Give’s website.
  • 7 February 2025: Applications close.
  • February 2025: Once applications have undergone an initial round of processing, The Childhood Trust will then get in touch with you to complete our due diligence process.
  • 14 March 2025: Deadline for your charity to confirm pledges via the Big Give’s online portal
  • 9 April 2025: Offers of funding sent out!
  • 3 June – 17 June 2025: Campaign runs online on the Big Give’s website.

  • Raised profile and visibility through broader campaigns, events and other activities to raise awareness of the issues around child poverty and drive traffic to the charities
